Dr. Veronica Powell earned a Ph.D. in Industrial Organizational Psychology from Capella University. Dr. Powell has provided services in program development and evaluation, assessment, treatment, supervision, training and development, employee assistance, executive coaching and consultation. She has worked extensively in the area of organizational consulting, training and development, mental health, employee assistance, substance abuse and trauma for more than 15 years. Most notably, Dr. Powell has worked closely with our veteran and offender population since 1999, specializing in the areas of co-occurring and post-traumatic stress disorders. She also holds licenses and certifications as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Masters Addictions Counselor, Substance Abuse Professional and Distance Credentialed Counselor.

Dr. Powell specializes in individual, couples and family therapy, life and executive coaching and maintains a private practice in Washington, DC. She is an interactive, solution-focused therapist. Dr. Powell' therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. She integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding,Dr. Powell works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
